Funding & Scoring Disclosures
Last updated October 2, 2026 · Version 2026-10-02
LCF uses labels such as readiness, fit and match to organize its advice. This page explains what those labels mean, and what they do not mean.
1. Readiness
Readiness describes your organization's preparation — documents, registrations and capacity — compared with what opportunities commonly require. It is not a judgment that you will qualify for or win any opportunity.
2. Opportunity fit and alignment
Fit, alignment and match labels are advisory. They are not a probability, a percentage chance of award or a prediction. A good fit cannot overcome a failed mandatory eligibility requirement; if a required condition is not met, the opportunity is not a match regardless of other strengths.
Information we do not have stays unknown. Missing facts are flagged for review rather than assumed in your favor or against you.
3. Pre-submission review
Where LCF reviews a draft application or proposal, that review checks completeness and quality against the funder's published criteria. It is not the funder's score. A dedicated grant pre-submission check is not yet part of the Service.
4. Human review
LCF staff review matches and determinations before they are shown to you. LCF's review does not bind any funder or agency, and only the funder decides eligibility and awards.
5. Historical awards
Where shown, information about past award recipients is descriptive, may be incomplete and may not be representative. It does not predict future awards.
6. Deadlines and timing
We distinguish official dates published by a funder from estimates. Estimated or anticipated dates are not guaranteed. The funder's latest official notice always controls.
7. Sources and verification dates
LCF is independent of the sponsors and agencies whose opportunities appear. A "last verified" date means LCF last checked the listing against its source on that date; details and links can change afterward.
8. Document verification
Document review status reflects LCF's review for completeness and relevance. It is not a certification by any agency and is not a legal finding.
9. Government contracts
Government contract readiness assessments, fit checks and compliance checklists use their own contract-specific framework, separate from grant reviews. They do not predict award and do not replace the solicitation's instructions.
10. Questions or corrections
If you think a label or fact about your organization is wrong, or want a person to explain a result, contact lavette@lcfgrants.com or (571) 354-8724.
