NSGP helps houses of worship and nonprofit organizations at risk of terrorist or extremist attack fund physical security improvements. The application is competitive, the paperwork is specific, and the deadlines come fast. We help you put forward a strong, compliant application — and manage the award if you're funded.
2026 NSGP Award Update
If your nonprofit is selected, LCF can serve as your NSGP grants manager. We help interpret your award terms, track spending, manage procurement documentation, prepare reports, maintain compliant records, and guide your grant through closeout.
Know Before You Apply
Physical security enhancements — target hardening such as cameras, access control, fencing, and lighting — plus security-related planning, exercises, training, and contracted security personnel for eligible nonprofit organizations at high risk of terrorist or extremist attack.
FEMA funds NSGP, but you apply through your State Administrative Agency (SAA). Each state sets its own internal deadline, earlier than the federal deadline — knowing yours matters.
NSGP allows up to 5% of the award for Management & Administration (M&A) costs. Where the award permits, qualified grant-management support may be charged to that M&A allowance. We review your specific award terms before proposing any award-funded scope.
NSGP Services
The IJ is the heart of your NSGP application. We develop the narrative sections — threats, vulnerabilities, project description, and budget — so reviewers can clearly score how your project addresses identified risks.
NSGP requires a documented vulnerability assessment tied to your requested projects. We help you organize and present it so your application stands up to State Administrative Agency and FEMA review.
We walk your organization through deadlines, required forms, SAM.gov and UEI registration, and the state submission process — because NSGP applications are submitted through your State Administrative Agency, not directly to FEMA.
If awarded, we help you manage the award under 2 C.F.R. Part 200 — procurement of security equipment and services, reporting, financial tracking, and closeout — so your organization stays audit-ready.
